Sherry Shaara

Biography:

Born and raised in Gainesville, I was blessed to grow up in the beautiful country community of Rochelle, which is about 10 miles east of Gainesville on the Hawthorne Trail. My experience in real estate started early in life with one of my first jobs as a title examiner and title insurance policy processor at Alachua County Abstract Company. In 1980, I left my beloved hometown and moved to Houston, TX where I continued a successful career in real estate working for Stewart Title Company as an Escrow Officer in residential and commercial closings for 18 years. In 1998, I returned to my beloved city of Gainesville and my work took me outside of the real estate industry for the first time in my adult life. As a Sales Coordinator, Executive Assistant, and Educational Program Administrator for a national veterinary pharmaceutical distributor, I learned the hard work ethic that included the trials and tribulations of the sales industry. In 2016, after working in the corporate world for 17 years, I decided to return to the world of real estate. I believe the significant experience I obtained in these professional arenas has given me the opportunity to accumulate substantial knowledge and skills both on a professional and personal level. I evaluate myself as a perceptive and dedicated professional who values high integrity, customer service, attention to detail, and utilizing a positive approach. Outside of my career, my interests are hiking, paddle boarding, biking, horses, and healthy living; but my key focus is on my family. I have an amazing man, two beautiful children, two grandchildren, two step-children, and a revolving door of family dogs, which at times has been four or more which drives the three cats crazy! I look forward to helping you with one of life’s largest investments and promise to do everything in my ability as a real estate professional to make your transaction as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
